Hi, Iām Nik
I am a strong visual arts and design professional and highly skilled in bringing a story to life in a multitude of visual elements. I am an experienced creative consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the entertainment, theme park and tourism industries. Pulling from over a decade of working behind the scenes as well as guest facing roles, on projects around the world, I possess a talent for leading and managing both teams and expectations.
Beginning my experience in central Florida for some of the best known theme parks in the world. You will find Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando, and SeaWorld in my background. I spent over a decade with the Art and Design Team at Universal Studios Orlando and Universal Creative as both a Creative Consultant and Technical Consultant. I am no stranger to getting my hands dirty, spending long days in the field building props and working tirelessly decorating events such as Halloween Horror Nights, Mardi Gras and Christmas celebrations, bringing world class events to life for thousands of guests. I also have experience creating decor and props for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter that have been sent abroad to multiple countries as well as displayed in Florida and California. Alongside my behind the scenes roles, I have also spent the last 18 years as a performer with Disney, the last 4 of those abroad in France. This has given me a unique perspective of what it takes to reach guests on the day to day level. What story telling elements transcend across language and cultural barriers.
On a more person level, fine art, history, fantasies and the natural word all drive me to create. I am a deeply passionate person who loves many dualities to life; from all forms of Halloween to getting lost at sea, a stroll through a museum as well as a stroll up a mountain, a civil war reenactment as well as a cozy night in binging a new series on Netflix, lifting weights and lifting spirits. Some of my professional muses are Alphonse Mucha, N.C. Wyeth, Jim Henson, Tim Burton and Guillermo Del Toro. As an artist it is no surprise that we wear many hats. I find a great alure to this business is the fluidity of ones contributions to projects in various forms.
